Happy 4 Months!
Rebekah,
Is it really May already? You’re 4 months old. I have a hard time believing that some days…You have learned some new tricks this month. You are toatally set on that thumb…I’m really trying to be cool with it. It’s hard for me, so bear with me, ok? You are growing like a weed! Seriously. You were 15lbs 11oz at your 4 month check up, and 24 1/2 inches long, though the doctor thinks he was a little short on that measurement. You have learned to roll from your back to your tummy, and you will sometimes roll back to your back. Really, rolling isn’t much fun yet, you much preferto lay on your back and look around and spin around. I never find you in the same place I left you when you wake up! It’s like an adventure. Where in the crib is Rebekah? Luckily for me, you’ve been sleeping until the sun comes up, and then you lay there happily chatting and playing and moving around until I hear you and come get you before your chatty morning sessions wake up your sister. This month you also learned to laugh. Oh how I LOVE your giggles and laughs. Your laugh makes us all smile and brightens up the room. I hope that you hang on to that skill for many years to come.
You are growing and changning each day. We’re not so patiently awaiting your first tooth. You have a fountain of drool pouring from your mouth, you bite everything you can, and you have been known to be SUPER cranky. Don’t worry, I think we’d all be cranky getting our first tooth. Where is that tooth? I’d like you to go back to being happy 100% of the time.

This month you have learned that playing is FUN. Laying in bed with your sister, playing on the floor with a toy, laying on the sofa and watching the world around you, all are things you love. I love to see you learn about the world around you. You are staring to grab for toys and reach with your feet. You hold onto blankets and suggle with stuffed animals.
I’m amazed by how much you have grown and changed this month. I’m excited to see what is in store for this month. I’m sure you’ll pull some new tricks out of your hat.
Love you,
Mommy
