It was bound to happen….
Before Ashleigh was born Wes and I were the perfect parents. Because, well, isn’t everyone who doesn’t have kids the expert? After Ashleigh was born I was terrified of her finding her thumb, or even worse, taking to a pacifier. I never wanted to be the parent of that child who was 3, taking their paci out to speak, and shoving it back in. I was thrilled that she never seemed very interested in both. Whew. We made it through. Until Rebekah came along and reminded me that while we liked to think we had it all figured out. I assumed Rebekah would be just like Ashleigh. They have the same genes, right? Well…Rebekah has shown me time and time again that she is not Ashleigh and I just refuse to learn. Guess this is how she is going to prove it to me…
Please, God, don’t let her suck her thumb until she’s 3 please? While I hate to admit, I kind of think this thumb sucking thing is cute, I dread having to “make” her stop! So, if it could be a short lived thing, that would really be best…

OK, the thumb sucking is SUPER cute.
My second sucks her two fingers and I was super thankful it wasn’t the pacifier that my first loves.
It’s really funny how much we all “know” before we have kids. I’m beginning to think I don’t know anything at all. (Either that or my brain cells are falling out)
