The Doodlebops!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of seeing The Doodlebops at The Lyric Opera House in Baltimore. We were sitting pretty much above the stage, so we were close enough to see their faces, and during one song Rooney even waved to us ;-) Of course, they had asked everyone to enjoy the show, get up and dance, etc in the beginning of the concert, and Ashleigh and I were the only two people up and dancing on our side of the balcony! So, while he waved our direction, I can only assume he was waving to us, because we were obviously the only ones enjoying the show :-P . I had been looking at concert dates, we talked about taking her last year, but we didn’t think she was old enough then to justify the expense! I am glad we got to go. I think I had as much fun as she did! (Thanks Beth & Roy!)

Ashleigh just told me how much she enjoyed the concert and she wants to go see them again soon. Guess I better keep my eyes open for concert info. The concert we saw was the last show of this current tour. We’ll have to wait until next year!

Before you get to enjoy the photos, here is a video someone else took of a Doodlebops Concert, so you can get an idea of what they do! Enjoy the photos!

3 Year Update

I should have posted this almost 2 weeks ago now, but life has been busy. For those who care and haven’t gotten the word, we took Ashleigh in for her 3 year check up. She is 30 lbs and 37 inches! She has moved from the 25th percentile for weight to the 50th percentile for weight and she has stayed steady in the 50th percentile for height. She completed all the milestones on his 3 year old chart. The nurse would have moved on to the 4 year old chart, but there was no nurse that day. I didnt ask whether she was no longer employed there or if she was just out for the day. He was pretty frazzled with all of the patients he had. We had a 10:30 appointment, we left there just before 1. We were the last ones in the place at lunch time. He was impressed with her jumping and throwing abilities. The only “concerns” I had were her aversion to loud noises and her shyness. He said both sounded completely normal for her, and neither one was anything to worry about. We will go back to see him next March for her 4 year check up. Luckily 3 didn’t require any shots. I was releived to hear that. I was not looking forward to how she handled them. I’m hoping next year if she gets some it will be easier! Have a great day!
